Our Story
STC Photos was born out of a desire for freedom — to create a life on my own terms, doing work that actually means something.
Funny enough, my dad had a camera in my face my whole life… but it wasn’t until college that I felt the pull myself. Once I filmed my first wedding — totally winging it, no clue what I was doing — something clicked. The couple loved it, I got paid, and I realized, this just makes sense for me.
From that point on, I went all in.
I left my 9–5, bet on myself, and built STC Photos from the ground up.
STC stands for Samuel Tipton Childers — my name, my stamp, my personal investment in every film I create.
Weddings are more than just a job to me. Each one is different, and I treat them like that. My mission is to make every couple feel like they won the lottery — like they’re starring in a film that captures the best day of their lives in the most honest, cinematic way possible.
This isn’t just about pressing record. It’s about preserving emotion, family, legacy, and love — so you can relive it for decades.
We had wedding photos taken of my wife and I and we used sam who did a great job. We had no plans or ideas for what we wanted to do we left it entirely up to him and he did a great job getting a bunch of different poses. He had a good plan already made up for us when we arrived and we went through our session easily and efficiently. The quality of the pictures are amazing. He gave us lots of ideas to keep us laughing and smiling with each other for even better pictures. I would highly recommend using him.
We absolutely loved our videographer Samuel, he is so EASY and FUN to work with! He has great communication, is timely, and captured our vision perfectly. Our video turned out amazing! We filmed at Shelby Farms in Memphis and he even gave the shirt off his back for my husband to help keep cool in the hot sun. Would 100% recommend.

As a wedding photographer it can be tricky working fluidly with a videographer. It is truly a choreographed dance when both can get all of their shots and not only stay out of each other's way, but setup shots to compliment one another.
